The fishing over the past week has been phenomenal. Multiple fish over 100lbs have been caught by the Voodoo Crew with the biggest being in the 150lb range. Pogie balls are starting to show up offshore and when the tuna find them, it is a sight to behold. Saturday was a prime example of that. While fishing the lumpat any given time, pogies were being thrown in the air by Yellowfin skying everywhere. The fish are big and mean right now and proper technique is imperative to catch them. Captain Chad on the 39′ Yellowfin with the biggest going 130. He also had a shot at a big Mako, but she decided it was not her time. Joey on the 36′ Yellowfin ended the day with a Cobia and 2 Yellowfin with the biggest going 142. These big fish should be in close through March and it’s only getting better.
